Amethyst Systems’ Delivery Management System (DMS) was chosen as the basis for the solution. Amethyst Systems built in additional functionality to reflect the specific requirements of both Wincanton and its customer and in particular built a comprehensive suite of KPI reports available on the client’s DMS website and through targeted automated emails.
The CN3 devices are loaded with Amethyst’s DMS software, which enable Wincanton’s drivers operating out of 12 separate locations to carry out and record vehicle checks in line with legal requirements, download a route and carry out deliveries and collections with barcode scanning of products, full POD Signature capture and delivery failure reporting.
This enables Wincanton and its customer to oversee the completion of deliveries in real-time.
